Pharmacy Technician Long Term Care (Overland Park, KS)

RPh on The Go is actively hiring a Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract position in a busy Long Term Care pharmacy. This is a great opportunity for pharmacy technicians with prior pharmacy experience to work in a professional, fast-paced environment. LTC experience is a plus!

Overland Park, KS

Assignment Length:
8-week contract

Schedule:
Monday Friday, Mid Shift (10:30 AM 7:00 PM)
Rotating weekends: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Work Setting:
Long Term Care Pharmacy

Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist team in processing, packaging, and distributing medications to long-term care patients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, label, and package prescription medications for delivery
Accurately enter prescription orders into pharmacy software
Assist with processing cycle fills, first doses, and emergency orders
Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
Restock and maintain automated dispensing and packaging systems
Ensure proper storage and handling of medications according to regulations
Communicate with internal staff to resolve medication-related inquiries
Comply with HIPAA, state, and federal guidelines
Follow all safety, attendance, and dress code policies
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Active Kansas Pharmacy Technician license
Recent pharmacy experience required
Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plus
