RPh on The Go is actively hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 12-week contract position in a well-established Long Term Care pharmacy located in Washington, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians with LTC experience to work in a collaborative and professional environment.

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Potential Saturday shifts: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Long Term Care Pharmacy

Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacist team by preparing, packaging, and processing prescriptions for long-term care patients while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Enter prescription orders into pharmacy software systems
Fill cycle orders, emergency kits, and first-dose medications
Maintain and replenish stock in both manual and automated dispensing systems
Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management and supply ordering
Communicate effectively with healthcare facilities and staff to address medication needs
Comply with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all medications
Follow all company protocols including safety, attendance, and appearance standards
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license
Recent pharmacy technician experience required
Prior experience working in a Long Term Care pharmacy setting
