Pharmacy Technician Med D Biller - Arlington, TX

RPH on the go is looking for motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Med D Billers to work at a Clinical Hub Center. This role involves managing claims, insurance billing, and providing support for prior authorization processes, ensuring seamless communication between facilities, plans, and providers.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Med D Biller
Location: Clinical Hub Center Call Center
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a resource for facilities by obtaining and completing necessary documentation and following up on claims.
• Understand insurance and Medicaid formularies, including prior authorization processes.
• Make outbound calls to facilities, plans, and physician offices to secure approvals.
• Resolve customer issues in collaboration with Pharmacy Directors, Client Billing Service Offices, and prescription drug plans.
• Meet productivity goals related to calls/claims per hour as set by leadership.
• Provide clinical support for prior authorization concerns and submissions.
• Adhere to company policies, federal and state laws, and professional standards.
• Understand the claim adjudication and billing processes and insurance workflows.
• Use Microsoft Office programs proficiently, including Excel.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma, Associates Degree.
• Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Medical Assistant Certification, Bachelor's Degree.

Experience:

• Required:
• Third-party medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of EMAR systems.

• Desired:
• 1-3 years of pharmacy experience.
• 3 years of call center experience.

  Skills:
• Strong data entry and research skills.
• Experience with insurance processes, prior authorizations, and Medicaid formularies.
• Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
• Effective time management to meet daily and competing deadlines.
