Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy in Plainview, NY. This is a Temp-to-Perm position, starting with a 13-week assignment and the opportunity for a permanent full-time role. You will be working with a team in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, ensuring the accurate dispensing and packaging of medications for LTC patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill, package, label, and stock medications in accordance with pharmacy standards.
• Measure and dispense medications manually or using mechanical equipment.
• Ensure containers are labeled correctly, following departmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of general pharmacy terminology, including medication names and classifications.
• Follow state and federal drug laws, as well as internal pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required by the pharmacy team.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • Previous Retail or Long-Term Care Pharmacy experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Program Knowledge: Familiarity with QS1 Prime Rx and Doctrack is a plus.

Additional Information:

• Shifts: Monday - Friday with rotating weekends. Hours are either 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
