Pharmacy Technician-Shiloh, IL

RPh on the go is seeking a retail pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have retail or mail order experience, along with pioneerRx.

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medication Preparation and Dispensing:

   • Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
   • Measure, count, and label medications according to prescription orders.
   • Verify prescription information and dosage with the pharmacist.

2. Customer Service:

   • Interact with patients to answer questions about medications and health products.
   • Provide medication information and usage instructions to patients.
   • Handle prescription refills and process insurance claims.

3. Inventory Management:

   • Maintain and manage medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
   • Monitor and manage expiration dates and storage conditions of medications.
   • Dispose of expired or unused medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

4. Administrative Duties:

   • Maintain accurate patient records and prescription logs.
   • Process prescription and medication orders, including verifying patient information and insurance details.
   • Handle cash transactions and perform basic bookkeeping tasks.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Follow all legal and regulatory requirements related to the dispensing of medications.
   • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper sanitation procedures.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

   • Work closely with pharmacists to discuss and resolve medication-related issues.
   • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.

Required:

• 1+ year or more of recent Retail or Mail Order Experience
• Experience working with PioneerRx preferred
• Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
• PTCB Preferred
