Position: Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding

Setting: Inpatient Hospital

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Overview:

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with expertise in sterile compounding? We have a rewarding opportunity for you to join our esteemed team in a Cleveland-based inpatient hospital. This role offers the chance to work in a vibrant healthcare setting with the potential for a permanent position after an initial 13-week temp period.

Primary Duties:

• Collaborate with pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, and preparation of medications and sterile products for patient care.
• Handle the preparation of unit dose medications, IV admixtures, parenteral nutrition, floor stock pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, and other medication systems.

Qualifications:

• PTCB Certification is a must.
• Ohio Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in sterile compounding.
• Previous experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting is essential.
• Experience with hazardous drugs and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) is advantageous.
• CPhT National Certification is required.
