Staff Pharmacist - PRN Coverage
Locations: Red Springs and Rowland, NC

RPH on the go is seeking a flexible and experienced Staff Pharmacist for PRN coverage across three community retail pharmacies located in rural North Carolina. These pharmacies serve their communities with dedication, providing a variety of services including vaccinations and patient counseling. Ideal for semi-retired pharmacists, stay-at-home parents, or professionals looking for a part-time, on-call role.

Duties:

• Perform all standard retail pharmacy functions, including accurate prescription verification and patient counseling.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality service and accuracy in all operations.
• Administer immunizations as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards while managing a range of daily prescription volumes (approximately 150-350 scripts per day).

Schedule/Shift:

• Nov 20 (Wednesday): Red Springs location, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
• Nov 21 (Thursday): Rowland location, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
• Nov 22 (Friday): Red Springs location, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
• Future Opportunities: Ongoing PRN needs may arise across three locations, each about 15 minutes apart.
• Typical Hours:
  • Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • Sunday: Closed

Requirements:

• Licensure: Active NC State Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Experience: Familiarity with Computer RX or Transaction Data Systems preferred, but not required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and certified immunizer status.
• Attributes: Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to PRN demands with short notice.
