RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced PRN Pharmacist in Alexandria, Virginia for a project management role. This position focuses on medication processing, infusion coordination, technician management, and pharmacy intake responsibilities. Sterile compounding experience is required to oversee the compounding process and assist as needed.

Position Details:

  • Coverage Hours Needed: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Closed on weekends)
  • 13+ Weeks with potential for direct hire and a pay increase based on performance.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Processing Medications and Order Verification.
    • Infusion Coordination and Scheduling Management: Ensuring IVs are ready and infusion suite schedules are prepared for nurses and patients.
    • Coordinating and managing pharmacy technicians.
    • Taking charge of pharmacy intake responsibilities on the front end.
    • Managing tasks related to sterile compounding (if needed) and overseeing the process.

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Virginia Pharmacist license (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of Pharmacist experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in a sterile compounding environment (home infusion, hospital, etc.).
  • High-volume pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Previous management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of USP-797 is essential.
