PRN Pharmacist with Sterile Compounding Experience - Alexandria, VA

RPh on the Go is hiring a PRN Pharmacist in Alexandria, VA, with experience in sterile compounding for a long-term opportunity. This role is ideal for pharmacists with expertise in infusion coordination and pharmacy management, seeking flexible hours and the potential for direct hire.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, VA
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:30 PM (closed weekends)
• Assignment Length: 13+ weeks, with potential for direct hire and pay increase based on performance

Responsibilities:

• Process medications and perform order verification
• Manage infusion coordination and scheduling to ensure IVs are compounded and infusion suite schedules are prepared for nurses and patients
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians
• Handle pharmacy intake on the front end, including prescription management and patient coordination

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Virginia Pharmacist License
• 3+ years of pharmacist experience
• 1+ year of experience in a sterile compounding environment (home infusion, hospital, etc.)
• Knowledge of USP-797 standards
• Previous high-volume pharmacy experience (preferred)
