PSR Pharmacy Technician-Birmingham Alabama

Rph on the go seeking a retail pharmacy technician for a retail pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a year or more pharmacy experience.

Hours: Monday through Friday 9:30am until 6pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medication Dispensing:

   • Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately according to the pharmacist s directions.
   • Label medications and verify the correct dosage and instructions.
   • Assist in managing prescription refills and coordinating with patients regarding their medications.

2. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent service to patients and address their questions or concerns regarding medications.
   • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
   • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to privacy laws.

3. Inventory Management:

   • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
   • Monitor expiration dates and perform regular checks to ensure product quality and safety.
   • Assist in managing drug recalls and ensuring that outdated or expired medications are properly disposed of.

Requirements

• 1+ retail pharmacy experience
• AL Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB a plus
• no negative history on license or BG
