RPh on the Go is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Research Pharmacist to join a well-established hospital team in New York City. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sterile compounding and clinical research, contributing to critical clinical trials and investigational drug studies.

Position Overview

As a Research Pharmacist, you will play an integral role in supporting clinical research teams and ensuring the accurate and compliant preparation of investigational IV medications. This includes working in a sterile environment, managing documentation, and maintaining regulatory standards in accordance with USP <797>, <800>, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compound IV medications within USP <797> and <800> standards

  • Support clinical trial protocols and investigational drug services

  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of investigational drugs

  • Collaborate with research and clinical teams to meet study requirements

  • Maintain compliance with hospital SOPs, state board rules, and federal regulations

  • Participate in internal and external audits; support ongoing quality assurance

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted New York Pharmacist License

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital pharmacy setting

  • Proven expertise in sterile compounding and cleanroom operations

  • Experience using EHR systems such as Cerner or EPIC

  • Previous experience with clinical research or investigational drug services

Preferred Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented research environment

  • Familiarity with clinical trial workflows and regulatory compliance
