Retail Pharmacist-Lufkin, Texas

RPh on the go is seeking a Retail Pharmacist October to December 2024. The ideal candidate have 1+ year or more of recent retail experience.

Hours: Tuesday to Thursday hours are 9 to 6pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Medication Dispensing:

   • Accurately review and dispense prescriptions in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
   • Verify prescription information, including dosage, drug interactions, and potential allergies.
   • Prepare and label medications, ensuring proper storage and handling.

2. Patient Counseling:

   • Provide clear and comprehensive information to patients regarding their medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.
   • Address patient questions and concerns, offering guidance on medication use and health management.
   • Conduct medication therapy reviews to optimize patient outcomes.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Ensure adherence to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
   • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to prescriptions, patient information, and inventory.
   • Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

4. Customer Service:

   • Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting with patients in a friendly and professional manner.
   • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues effectively and efficiently.
   • Promote and educate patients about available pharmacy services and products.

5. Inventory Management:

   • Oversee inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
   • Monitor expiration dates and manage the rotation of stock to minimize waste.
   • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Duties:
answering phones, supervising pharmacy technicians, counseling patients, may need to do some computer work. verifying prescriptions.

Requirements
TX Pharmacist license
1+ year or more of recent retail experience
