A well-established retail pharmacy in Wrangell, Alaska, is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join their team. Shifts: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday (No Weekends)
Hours: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (Lunch: 1:00 PM 2:00 PM)
Pharmacy Software: Liberty RXQ

Pharmacy Overview
Daily Prescription Volume: 100-150 scripts per day
Staffing: 1 additional pharmacist, 2 full-time technicians, and 1 PRN technician available for additional support

Key Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and potential interactions.
• Provide clinical consultations and address prescription concerns with prescribers.
• Verify and dispense completed prescription orders efficiently.
• Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and treatment expectations.
• Conduct chart reviews for prescription refills and medication therapy management.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and students.
• Participate in quality control initiatives and pharmacy-run clinics.
• Educate patients and healthcare providers on drug therapies.

Requirements

• Active and clear pharmacist license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient or retail pharmacy experience.
