Retail Pharmacy Technician- Detroit Michigan
RPh on the go is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Technician for a temp to direct hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:

Prescription Processing:
- Accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information and patient details to ensure accuracy.
- Label medications correctly and provide necessary information to customers.
- Prepare and dispense medications, including oral tablets, capsules, liquids, and other forms.

Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Offer guidance on over-the-counter medications and health products.
- Assist with insurance claims and handle prescription refills and transfers.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired products.
- Ensure that medications are stored properly and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the pharmacist.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including controlled substances.
- Ensure proper documentation and confidentiality of patient information.

Pharmacy Operations:
- Assist with pharmacy administrative tasks, including data entry and record keeping.
- Support the pharmacist in preparing medications and performing routine pharmacy duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy counter and workstations.

Communication and Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, other pharmacy staff, and healthcare providers.
- Communicate clearly with customers, providing education on medication use and side effects.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on industry practices.
Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Job Duties:
- Enter patient information and prescription orders into the computer.
- Assist in the dispensing of prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage and order OTC inventory as necessary to ensure adequate pharmacy supply stock.
- Interact with third-party prescription plans to solve adjudication problems in order to facilitate the processing of prescriptions.
Required:
- Clear and active Pharmacy Technician license in Michigan
- At least 1+ year retail pharmacy experience
