Retail Staff Pharmacist (3x10s, Flexible Days) Mifflintown, PA

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist for a full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity at a well-established retail pharmacy in Mifflintown, PA.

This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care, prescription accuracy, and retail pharmacy operations. The position offers a flexible 3x10-hour shift schedule with rotating Saturdays (every other weekend) and provides training on Liberty pharmacy software.

Schedule:

• 3x10-hour shifts (Flexible days)
• Rotating Saturdays (Every other weekend required)
• Pharmacy Hours:
• Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Perform final prescription verifications with precision and accuracy.
• Provide exceptional patient counseling and customer service.
• Manage medication dispensing and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Conduct drug utilization reviews to prevent interactions and ensure patient safety.
• Accurately handle data entry for new prescriptions and maintain thorough patient records.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and support staff to optimize workflow efficiency.
• Open and close the pharmacy as needed.

System/Software:

• Liberty (training provided)

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols, drug interactions, and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Open to new graduates looking to start their career in retail pharmacy.
