Staff Pharmacist Position Southgate, Kentucky

Contract Duration: 13-Week Assignment with Option to Transition to Permanent
Shifts: Monday through Friday, with one weekend shift per month
Hours: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM 5:00 PM. Closing shift (11:00 AM 7:00 PM) is typically required only once a week.
Weekend Shifts: Saturday: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, Sunday: 11:00 AM 5:00 PM

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team in Southgate, Kentucky. This 13-week contract role offers the potential to become a permanent position. You'll provide critical pharmaceutical care, assist patients with medication counseling, and work collaboratively with physicians to ensure safe and effective use of prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions accurately, ensuring patients receive the correct medications and dosage.

• Counsel patients on medication usage, health concerns, and proper care.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information, handle controlled substances with care, and complete all required documentation.

• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve prescription-related issues and provide relevant information.

Requirements:

• Active and valid Pharmacist license in the state of Kentucky

• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, with a preference for retail or mail order experience
