We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our team for the second shift at our long term care facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our residents, ensuring their medication needs are met promptly and safely. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure proper medication administration.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies, providing drug utilization reviews and advising on potential side effects or interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of medication dispensation.
  • Provide education and counseling to residents and their families on medication regimens.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other staff members during the shift.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance pharmaceutical services.

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Rotating weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy experience.
  • LTC experience a plus.
  • TX Pharmacist license.
