Staff Pharmacist 13-Week Full-Time Contract (Inpatient Hospital)

RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week full-time contract at an inpatient hospital in Illinois. This position offers a rotating shift schedule (first and second shifts) and a flexible work environment within a hospital setting. You will be working with the Cerner computer system, so experience with Cerner is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient pharmacy and possess the ability to manage the varied demands of a hospital pharmacy environment, ensuring optimal patient care.

Job Type: 13-Week Full-Time Contract
Schedule: 30 to 32 hours per week, Rotating Shifts
Shift: Rotating First and Second Shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM / 3:00 PM 11:30 PM), Rotating Weekends
Computer System: Cerner

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications and verify prescriptions for inpatient use
• Provide clinical support and medication counseling to hospital staff and patients
• Work collaboratively with medical teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy management
• Monitor drug therapy and provide recommendations for adjustments
• Assist with medication therapy reviews and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
• Rotate shifts and cover weekends as needed

Requirements:

• Illinois Pharmacist License required
• Inpatient pharmacy experience is a must
• Cerner experience is a plus
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
