Staff Pharmacist - Temporary to Permanent

Location: West Waco, TX

Duration: 13 weeks (temp to perm)

Shifts: 1st, 2nd - Rotating

Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Weekly Hours: 20-30 hours

Job Duties:

As a Staff Pharmacist at our West Waco location, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising Pharmacy Staff: Oversee the pharmacy technicians and data entry clerks to ensure proper data entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.

• Ordering and Prepacking: Supervise ordering and prepacking activities carried out by the pharmacy technicians.

• Medication Screening: Screen all new medication orders for appropriate dose, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications prior to dispensing the medication.

• Controlled Substances: Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances. Maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.

Required Qualifications:

• Active License: Clear and active license in the state of Texas.

• Flexibility: Ability to work rotating days and evenings.

• IV Experience: Preferred, but not required.
