Job Title: PIC or Staff Pharmacist (Full-Time) Temp to Perm
Location: Bryan, TX (Local or Travel)
Contract: Temp to Perm, 13+ Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday, Day Shift 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for a Full-Time PIC (Pharmacist-in-Charge) or Staff Pharmacist role with local or travel options available.
This position offers a 13+ weeks temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable specialty pharmacy in Bryan, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of pharmacist experience, a PharmD degree, and a passion for patient care. The position involves overseeing pharmacy operations, managing a team, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Pharmacy Operations: Manage day-to-day pharmacy functions, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and inventory management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Clinical Guidance: Provide medication therapy management (MTM) services, offer clinical advice to healthcare providers, and collaborate on patient care plans.
- Patient Counseling & Medication Dispensing: Oversee medication compounding, dispensing, and counseling to ensure patient safety and education.
- Drug Utilization Review: Monitor drug usage, identify opportunities for cost-effective prescribing, and implement initiatives to improve medication therapy outcomes.
- Continuous Education: Stay current with new medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations to ensure compliance and optimize patient care.
Job Requirements:
- PharmD Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Active Pharmacist License: Must hold an active pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of pharmacist experience is required.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage a pharmacy team effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and educating patients.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
