Pharmacist Temp-to-Hire Opportunity | Specialty Pharmacy
Location: New York, NY 10024
Assignment Type: Contract-to-Permanent

Pharmacy Hours of Operation:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
  Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday coverage (approximately every 7th Saturday)

Position Summary:
We re seeking a motivated and experienced pharmacist for a temp-to-perm role at a fast-paced specialty pharmacy in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, leadership capability, and comfort working in a high-volume environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsibilities as assigned by the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC)

• Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians, interns, and support personnel

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal operating standards

• Review and accurately fill prescriptions, verifying prescriber instructions

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a volume-driven workflow

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted New York pharmacist license

• At least one year of experience in retail, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy

• Proven ability to handle high prescription volume (800+ scripts/day)

• Comfortable standing for extended periods during shift hours

Working Environment:

• High-traffic, specialty-focused pharmacy setting

• Frequent walking or standing required

• Fine motor skills and manual dexterity are essential for dispensing accuracy
