We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire position at a long-term care facility in Syracuse, NY.

Position Overview

As a Staff Pharmacist in a long-term care setting, you will play a critical role in ensuring residents receive top-quality pharmaceutical care. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with the potential for a permanent position after the contract period.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide clinical consultations and medication therapy management services.
• Prepare and dispense medications while maintaining precise documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Monitor drug therapies for efficacy and safety.
• Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Pharmacy Operating Hours

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience.
• Active and unrestricted New York Pharmacist license.
