RPh on the Go has partnered with a leading pharmacy facility in Kentucky to recruit for a Staff Pharmacist position with a 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity.

This is an excellent chance for pharmacists seeking long-term placement in either a data entry verification or product verification role.

Position Overview:

  • Title: Staff Pharmacist (Data Entry or Product Verification Focus)
  • Location: Kentucky
  • Term of Assignment: 13 Weeks Temp-to-Perm
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, First Shift, with only one weekend shift per month
  • Hours: Start times are flexible between 7:00am and 9:00am
  • Pharmacists are typically scheduled for the closing shift (11:00am 7:00pm) only once per week

  • Weekend Hours: Saturday 7:00am 3:30pm and Sunday 11:00am 5:00pm

Facility Information:
This pharmacy environment supports two distinct pharmacist roles:

  • Data Entry Verification: Desk-based work involving the review and verification of prescription orders
  • Product Verification: Physical checking of prescription products; while some standing is required, sitting is permitted whenever possible

This flexibility allows candidates to select the environment that best suits their work style and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients, including accurate processing and dispensing of prescription orders
  • Counsel patients on health care needs and prescription medications as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold all pharmacy regulatory documentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with controlled medication regulations and proper documentation
  • Interact with physicians to clarify prescription information and resolve any prescription-related issues
  • Utilize pharmacy reference materials effectively to support patient safety and medication accuracy

Qualifications Required:

  • Clear and active Pharmacist license in the state of Kentucky
  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, with retail or mail order pharmacy preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage high prescription volumes, and commitment to patient safety

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a mail order, specialty, or closed-door pharmacy environment
  • Familiarity with pharmacy data systems and product verification workflows
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
