Shift: Monday Friday, Rotating 1st/2nd Shifts (8:00 AM 11:30 PM), with possible weekends
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at our Long-Term Care (LTC) closed-door pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in the medication management and overall healthcare of our patients. This position offers a rotating shift schedule with hours from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM Monday through Friday, and the potential for weekend shifts based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently to long-term care facilities.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and other staff to ensure smooth and effective pharmacy operations.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Assist in inventory management and medication procurement.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Pharmacy experience, preferably in a closed-door pharmacy or long-term care setting.
- Active New Hampshire pharmacy license.
- Preferred:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology.
