Staff Pharmacist- Long-term Care Pharmacy (Weslaco, TX)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position in our Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in LTC pharmacy settings and a valid Texas pharmacy license. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Rotating Weekends)
Shift: Rotating between (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and (11:00 am - 7:00 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Pharmacy Operations:
  • Manage and oversee the dispensing of medications in a Long-Term Care setting.
  • Verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Patient Care:
  • Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
  • Address and resolve any medication-related issues or concerns.
• Collaborative Work:
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to patient care plans.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in a Long-Term Care pharmacy.
• Valid and active North Carolina pharmacy license.
