About the Role:
We are actively hiring a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join a fast-paced LTC pharmacy team in Portland. This 12-week contract offers consistent weekday hours and the possibility of direct placement, making it an ideal opportunity for pharmacists seeking both stability and career advancement.

Schedule Structure:

• Full-time (Monday Friday)

• 8-hour shifts rotating between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM

• Weekend coverage is shared on a rotating basis

• Shift times may include:

• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

• 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions with precision and adherence to all legal standards

• Provide medication counseling to patients, including dosing instructions, potential side effects, and storage information

• Monitor patient adherence and identify any medication-related issues

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient and pharmacy records

• Support chronic disease education and assist with the use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors

• Compound medications, including sterile preparations when needed

• Guide and supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff

• Manage pharmaceutical inventory to ensure stock levels meet demand

• Coordinate closely with healthcare providers for integrated patient care

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Maine

• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience required

• Prior experience in LTC or high-volume mail order settings is preferred
