Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our team for the second shift at our long-term care facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, exceptional clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical consultations to healthcare providers and patients.
  • Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies, providing drug information and potential alternatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and other healthcare staff.

Shift:

  • Monday - Friday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Rotating weekends.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy experience.
  • LTC experience a plus.
  • TX Pharmacist license.
