Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to join a high-volume Specialty Pharmacy in the heart of New York City from 9-5 Monday through Saturday (THURSDAYS OFF). This is an urgent full-time position with an initial commitment of 13 weeks, with the potential for permanent hire. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a high-volume environment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
• Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring accuracy
• Counsel patients on medication use and potential side effects
• Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure adequate stock levels
• Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of New York
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Experience in a specialty pharmacy is strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and technology
