Position: Pharmacist Temp-to-Perm Opportunity in Specialty Pharmacy
Location: New York, NY 10024
Assignment Type: Contract leading to Permanent placement

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM 2:00 PM (Scheduled every 7th Saturday)

Role Summary:
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be directly responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations under the guidance of the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC). This includes managing pharmacy technicians, interns, and support personnel to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to professional standards. You will accurately dispense medications and verify prescription details in accordance with medical directives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of pharmacy technicians, students/interns, and support staff

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies and regulatory standards

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions, verifying dosages and instructions from prescribers

• Maintain high-quality patient care and safety standards at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Active and valid New York State Pharmacist license with a clean record

• Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order, or Specialty Pharmacy settings

• Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload (800+ prescriptions daily)

• Physical stamina to remain standing for extended periods

Work Environment:

• Position requires consistent standing and movement throughout the shift

• Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks over long durations
