RPh on the Go is currently in search of a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to become a valued member of our Waco, TX team. This Pharmacist will hold a pivotal role in the oversight of pharmacy operations, ensuring strict compliance with regulations, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety. Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Supervisor for Pharmacy Staff: Assume the role of overseeing pharmacy technicians and data entry clerks, guaranteeing the accuracy of data entry, maintaining workflow efficiency, safeguarding the pharmacy area, and ensuring adherence to delivery schedules.

  • Oversight of Ordering and Prepacking: Manage and supervise the ordering and prepacking processes executed by pharmacy technicians, placing a strong emphasis on accuracy and streamlined operations.

  • Medication Review and Screening: Conduct comprehensive assessments of all incoming medication orders, meticulously verifying appropriateness in terms of dosage, potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications before dispensing, placing patient safety as the top priority.

  • Controlled Substances Oversight: Contribute to the proper procedures concerning the ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances. Maintain an up-to-date perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs to guarantee full regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Possession of an active and unblemished pharmacy license in the state of Texas.

  • A background featuring significant IV experience is an essential prerequisite.

  • Willingness and flexibility to work rotating shifts, encompassing both day and evening schedules, to effectively meet the pharmacy's operational needs and ensure quality patient care.

Work Hours:

  • Shifts are subject to rotation, spanning from 8:30 am to 5 pm and 10 am to 7 pm.
