Staff Pharmacist in Brockway, Pennsylvania
Are you a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist seeking a dynamic opportunity? Look no further! Our team is expanding, and we are currently in search of a dedicated professional to join our team. This is an 8-week contracted position with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
- Recommend drug therapy changes or alternative agents to physicians and/or nursing staff when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
- Respond to questions or requests by nursing facility staff and pharmacy technicians.
- Adhere to all pharmacy, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
- Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from accredited university.
- Active PA Pharmacist license
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous Long Term Care Pharmacy
- Sterile Compounding Experience
