Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (20-35hrs/week, No Weekends) - Alexandria, VA

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist with sterile compounding experience for a 13+ week contract-to-hire opportunity at an Acute and Chronic Illness Specialty Pharmacy in Alexandria, VA.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Closed on Weekends).

Responsibilities:

• Intake, Prescription Management, Processing, and Scheduling

• Processing Medications and Order Verification

• Infusion Coordination and Scheduling Management: Ensuring IVs are compounded and ready, and managing infusion suite schedules for nurses and patients

• Coordination and Management of Technicians

• Front-end Pharmacy Intake Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Virginia Pharmacist License

• Minimum 3+ years Pharmacist experience

• At least 1+ year of experience in a Sterile Compounding environment (Home Infusion, Hospital, etc.)

• Previous High-Volume Pharmacy experience (preferred)

• Previous Management experience (preferred)

• Knowledge of USP-797 standards
