Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician-Fort Worth, Texas
RPh on the go is searching for a Sterile Compounding Technician with long term care and Iv certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Compounding Medications: Accurately prepare compounded sterile medications, including intravenous (IV) solutions, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and other sterile products, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Adherence to Protocols: Follow the principles of aseptic technique and maintain cleanliness and sterility in the compounding area to prevent contamination.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain compounding equipment such as laminar flow hoods, autoclaves, and other specialized devices, ensuring they are functioning correctly and performing regular checks.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control procedures including checking for accuracy, inspecting final products, and ensuring all compounded medications meet the required standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of compounded medications, including formulations, quantities, and lot numbers, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of sterile compounding supplies, including ordering, stocking, and proper storage of medications and materials.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including USP standards (such as USP <797> and <800>) and other relevant guidelines.
- Patient Safety: Monitor and report any issues or discrepancies related to compounding processes and patient outcomes, and collaborate with pharmacists to address any concerns.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and patients, providing information as needed regarding compounded medications and potential side effects.

Requirements:
- One year of experience sterile compounding
- IV experience a plus
- Texas Certification
