Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician needed- (Perm) Fairfax, VA

We are seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy technician for a busy retail/long-term care pharmacy setting.
This is for DAY shift.

Requirements:

• VA license (clear & active)
• Sterile Compounding Experience*

Responsibilities:

• Following established formulas and procedures, the technician measures, weighs, and mixes medications to create sterile injectable solutions, ophthalmic solutions, and other dosage forms.
• Ensures the accuracy and sterility of compounded medications through various checks, including visual inspection, verifying calculations, and using proper labeling practices.
• Staying updated on and adhering to USP standards, as well as other relevant regulations.
• Working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to fulfill prescription orders and ensure medication safety.
