Supervisor Pharmacy Technician - Production Supervisor
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Supervisor Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week assignment at an LTC Mail Order Pharmacy with the possibility of direct hire. The role offers the opportunity to work on a rotating 1st/2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM), with rotating weekend shifts. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy technician workflows and overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy production team to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the Pharmacy Technician Production team in a fast-paced LTC mail order pharmacy environment.
- Ensure workflow efficiency, medication order accuracy, and timely medication fulfillment.
- Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians, ensuring they follow established processes and protocols.
- Train and mentor new and existing technicians in pharmacy operations and workflow.
- Monitor productivity, quality assurance, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
- Oversee rotating weekend shifts and manage staff schedules to meet production goals.
- Troubleshoot workflow and production challenges and implement solutions.
Shift Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: Rotating 1st and 2nd shifts (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM).
- Weekend rotation: Required as part of the rotating schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Technician Experience required, with a focus on pharmacy operations.
- LTC experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Management experience: Proven ability to lead and supervise teams.
- PTCB National Certification is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workflow, monitor productivity, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and other departments.
- Ability to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and ensure pharmacy safety standards.
