Temporary Pharmacist in Charge LA

Are you a skilled pharmacist ready to take on a leadership role in an independent pharmacy setting? We are looking for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 90-day assignment in Alexandria, LA. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with the flexibility to pick up Friday shifts if desired.

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Option to work Fridays if available

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
• Verify and process prescriptions in a low-volume environment (fewer than 40 scripts per day).
• Provide expert patient counseling and deliver outstanding customer care.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, ordering, and overall workflow.
• Work independently with remote and onsite support from affiliated pharmacy locations.

Requirements

• Active and clear Louisiana Pharmacist License.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in a retail or outpatient setting.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC).
• Comfortable working independently without a pharmacy technician.
