Travel Contract Outpatient Pharmacist - Washington
RPh on the Go is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Pharmacist available for a 13-week pharmacist contract in southern Washington. This is a full-time contract with the potential for permanent hire. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness and potential drug interactions.
- Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on dosage, usage, and possible side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' medication therapies to identify any potential issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and medication management processes.
- Stay updated with new drugs, treatment protocols, and pharmaceutical advancements through continuous education and professional development.
Pay: $62+ based on experience
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Washington.
- 2 years retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
