Travel Hospital Pharmacist Day Shift Montana

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 26+ week contract in Montana. This position offers a day shift schedule with possible overtime and on-call requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient hospital experience and the flexibility to float to a retail pharmacy if needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule:
• Hospital: Day Shift: 7:00am 5:30pm (On-call outside of this shift)
• 40+ hours/week; possible overtime
• Retail Store Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am 1:00pm (may be required to float here if needed)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings.
• Review, verify, and dispense medications for patients in the ER (7 beds), ICU, OB unit, surgery floor, and med-surg departments.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust patient treatment plans.
• Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting dosages and therapies as needed.
• Educate patients and staff on medication therapy and side effects.
• Oversee medication inventory and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed.
• Occasionally float to the retail pharmacy to assist with prescriptions and patient counseling.
• Support pharmacy technicians and oversee medication preparation and distribution.
• Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient safety and medication adherence.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Montana Pharmacist License
• Experience with EPIC (please confirm with candidates)
• 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience (within the last 5 years preferred)
• Availability to work the required shift and on-call hours
• Willingness to start as soon as compliant
