Travel Hospital Pharmacist (Full-Time) - Sidney, MT

Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist 10 days ago Miles City, MT

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a 13+ or 26+ week travel contract in a critical access hospital setting in Sidney, MT. This role requires inpatient hospital experience, EPIC proficiency, and flexibility to occasionally float to the attached retail pharmacy.

Schedule: Full-time (40+ per week) with possible overtime.
Day Shift: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, with some additional on-call duties outside of shift.

Retail Pharmacy Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM 1:00 PM (may be required to float as needed).

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmaceutical care in both hospital and retail pharmacy settings.
  • Review, verify, and dispense medications for ER, ICU, OB, surgery, and med-surg patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust medications accordingly.
  • Educate patients and staff on medication therapies and administration.
  • Maintain medication inventory and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee medication preparation and distribution.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care and safety.


Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Montana Pharmacist license.
  • Experience with EPIC (please verify with candidates).
  • 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience (within the last 5 years preferred).
  • Willingness to work the required schedule and on-call hours.
  • Availability to start as soon as compliant.
