Job Type: 13+ weeks contract, with potential for permanent hire
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Software: Cerner and Pyxis

Description of Need:

This small but growing pharmacy in Coquille, OR, is looking for a dedicated pharmacist to join their team. While the pharmacy currently does not have an IV room, plans are underway to build one. IV compounding experience is a plus but not required. This pharmacy is technically considered an investigational drug room, with the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) currently being the only RPh on staff. The new pharmacist will assist the DOP as the facility expands.

Job Duties:

• Review and interpret medication orders for inpatients and outpatients as needed.
• Prepare and/or check medications prior to distribution to various offices, clinics, and ambulance services.
• Counsel patients being discharged from the hospital on medication management.
• Inspect pharmacy inventory to ensure that drugs are maintained according to departmental policy and procedures.

Requirements:

• Clear and active Oregon pharmacy license
• 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred
