Travel IHS Pharmacy Supervisor - Peridot, Arizona
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Supervisor to join our team on a travel assignment in Peridot, Arizona. This role is with the Indian Health Service (IHS), offering a unique opportunity to serve Native American communities while overseeing pharmacy operations.
As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to patients. You ll play a crucial role in maintaining efficient workflows, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and optimizing medication management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.
- Manage, mentor, and lead a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure compliance with IHS, federal, and state regulations.
- Review and verify medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the safety and efficacy of medication dispensation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide training and development opportunities for pharmacy staff.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and documentation of controlled substances.
Shift:
- Monday - Friday
- 30 hours/week
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of Pharmacy PharmD preferred
- 1-year residency (PGY1) preferred
- Three (3) years of pharmacist experience
- Minimum two (2) years in hospital practice preferred
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire MUST be from AHA (American Heart Association)
- Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred
- Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
