Our client is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join their team in Sitka, Alaska. What We re Looking For:
Our client is looking for a passionate pharmacist with inpatient hospital experience. They ve been seeking the right fit since July 2024, and they are committed to finding someone for the long haul. Whether you re a recent PGY1 grad, a new pharmacist with inpatient experience, or someone with solid inpatient background, we want to hear from you!
The Ideal Candidate:
- A new graduate with recent completion of inpatient PGY1.
- A candidate with inpatient PGY1 and some retail pharmacy experience.
- A pharmacist with strong inpatient pharmacy experience.
(Note: Candidates with more than 5 years of retail pharmacy experience after PGY1 may not be considered.)
What s in it for You:
- Salary Range: $146K $189K
- New grads with a PGY1 will start at the lower end.
- Experienced pharmacists with 5-10 years of inpatient pharmacy experience will fall in the middle.
- Pharmacists with 20+ years of experience are capped at the highest salary.

- Travel and Housing: The client covers all travel expenses for your on-site interview, including flights, housing, and a rental car. They ll also arrange for you to explore Sitka, Alaska, during your visit, allowing you to experience the town and its lifestyle firsthand.
Housing in Sitka:
Please note that Sitka is a small town, and housing options are limited. If you are relocating with a large family or pets, finding a 3-bed/2-bath home may be a challenge. Be prepared for the unique housing situation before making any plans.The Job:
- Clinical Consultations: Review prescriptions for appropriateness, legality, allergies, contraindications, and drug interactions.
- Patient Counseling & Education: Advise patients on their medications, provide clear outcomes, and ensure their understanding.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert guidance on drug therapy.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing activities to improve the department and clinic s operations and care quality.
- Medications Management: Dispense medications per Federal and State regulations and provide valuable drug therapy consultation.
Requirements:
- Clear and active Pharmacist License in any state.
- 2+ years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- New grads: Completion of a recent inpatient PGY1 is required.
Interview Process:
