We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist for a travel assignment in Oregon. This small but expanding pharmacy is looking for a motivated professional to support the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) as they manage increasing demands.
About the Facility:
This facility is classified as an investigational drug room and is in the process of developing an IV compounding room. While IV compounding experience is not required, it would be considered a plus. The DOP currently handles most pharmacy operations and is eager to welcome a new team member to assist with the workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Review: Interpret and review medication orders for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Preparation & Distribution: Prepare and verify medications before distribution to various clinics, offices, and ambulance services.
- Patient Counseling: Provide counseling to patients being discharged from the hospital regarding medication management.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inspections of pharmacy inventory to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a clear and active pharmacist license in the state of Oregon.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting is required.
- Preferred Background: Experience in an acute care hospital setting is highly desirable.
