Travel Position for Inpatient Pharmacist

RPh on the go is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to complete a 13+ week assignment.  We are looking to fill this position ASAP contract start date begins 07/25/2022 Thru October. We are looking for someone that is flexible and has inpatient hospital experience. Housing and Food included 

Duties 

• Administering medications by monitoring patient reactions to treatments and adjusting dosages accordingly
• Reviewing treatment plans with physicians to identify potential drug interactions or other issues that could pose a danger to patients
• Educating patients about their illnesses and treatment plans, explaining how to administer medications, and answering questions regarding their conditions
• Monitoring patients’ progress and reporting results to physicians or other healthcare professionals as needed
• Preparing and administering medications in hospitals or other clinical settings according to established protocols
• Maintaining inventory records of drugs and supplies on hand, ordering medications from suppliers, and receiving deliveries from vendors
• Responsible for preparing, administering, and monitoring intravenous (IV) solutions and infusions, including blood transfusions and antibiotics, as directed by a physician
• Evaluating new drugs to determine whether they are safe and effective for human use
• Suggesting changes to medications based on new information about a drug’s effects or new uses for an existing drugs

Requirements 

• Inpatient Hospital Experience
•  Current and Clean OR license 
• Must pass a background check 
• Epic is a Plus
