We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist with a Veterinarian background to cover PRN needs at a Veterinary Compounding pharmacy near Morrisville, NC

Dates:

  • August 11,12,19,29 plus ongoing needs

About the Role:

  • On an as needed (per diem) basis, fill-in for Pharmacists when needed
  • Manage the operations of the pharmacy when the Pharmacist-in-Charge is not available
  • Collaborate with prescribers and discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
  • Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
  • Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel for the purpose of providing quality patient care
  • Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and grooming
  • Additional responsibilities as needed
  • Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company's core values and goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctoral PharmD) degree in Pharmacy
  • NC State Pharmacist license in good standing with NO negative history
  • 1+ year of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
  • Certifications in different areas of Pharmacy and completion of an accredited Post-Graduate residency program a plus
  • Must be registered with the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation or State Board of Pharmacy
  • MUST have recent Compounding (non-sterile) and Sterile compounding experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills
  • Able to efficiently work, mentor, and supervise staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge, and ability to perform, non-sterile compounding. Preference toward candidates that also have a knowledge of sterile compounding.
