RPh on the Go Wins for Youth

Steve Sidell is the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance at RPh on the Go. He began his career as a pharmacist prior to joining RPh on the Go 15 years ago. He is an avid biker, with about 37 years of fitness, sport, and transportation cycling under his belt. A little over a week ago, he tackled the legendary Col du Tourmalet climb in France… and prevailed!

Steve completed the climb as part of Adecco Group North America’s Win4Youth initiative  which translates kilometers logged in cycling into donations to youth charities around the world. RPh on the Go, which operates as part of Adecco Group NA, nominated Steve as a Win4Youth ambassador in April 2014. Steve’s rigorous training schedule, love for cycling, and lifelong dream to complete the Col du Tourmalet made  him the best candidate for this role.

More than 80 Adecco colleagues representing 36 countries participated in this year’s Win4Youth main event which took place at the Col du Tourmalet in the French Pyrenees, a “hors catagorie” climb, meaning the most difficult of all. The “big climb” began at an elevation of 2000+ ft. and ended at well over 6000 ft.

On Sunday, August 30, 2014,  80 Win4Youth ambassadors embarked on the climb, which every single ambassador successfully completed. Adecco CEO Patrick De Maeseneire stood at the finish line to congratulate each and every one of them.

“It is very difficult to put into words the feeling of accomplishment and pride that welled up in my chest as he shook my hand,” Steve said about completing the legendary climb. “As I said when asked for a comment, ‘This was the greatest thing I ever did.'”
