Staff Pharmacist Education & Experience Requirements

To qualify for most staff pharmacist jobs, you will need a bachelor’s, master's and doctoral degree (Pharm D.) in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences. Some employers prefer prior pharmacy experience, such as an internship or other positions in a related field. You will also need a current pharmacy license in the state you are working. An IHS federal facility in Newtown, ND is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13+ week temp-to-perm assignment in an outpatient pharmacy. Housing is provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescriptions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage and safety.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Active North Dakota Pharmacist License (in good standing).
  • Minimum 2 years of retail/outpatient pharmacy experience required.
  • Previous IHS or Tribal experience preferred but not required.
