Clinical Pharmacist Job Description

Clinical Pharmacist Job Requirements

Most states require a master’s degree or Pharm D. in Pharmacology or a related field. You should also possess a current license from the state in which you practice. Consulting Pharmacist - Per Diem - Flexible Day - Susanville, CA
As a Pharmacist for our LTC facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our residents. This is a direct hire position, offering stability and growth opportunities within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all quality assurance steps to ensure the accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
- Oversee the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party insurance claims.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory to maximize turnover.
- Provide outstanding customer service to residents and healthcare providers.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of prescriptions.
- Perform Medication Therapy Management (MT) and Individualized Medication Management Review (IMMR) as required.
Qualifications:
- Long-term care (LTC) experience is a plus.
- IV compounding experience is essential.
- Active and clear Wisconsin pharmacy license.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
