We re hiring a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity in Fairfield, OH. This position is ideal for someone with strong operational awareness, attention to detail, and a passion for pharmacy practice in a high-volume setting.


Position Summary:
You ll be responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are processed accurately and safely, overseeing technician workflows, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations particularly related to controlled substances. Leadership, communication, and precision will be key to success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerical staff to ensure accurate data entry and order processing

  • Monitor the packaging and ordering of medications prepared by technicians

  • Review all new prescriptions for dosing accuracy, potential drug interactions, and patient safety risks before dispensing

  • Maintain proper procedures and documentation for handling and storing controlled medications, including Schedule II drugs

  • Support workflow optimization and regulatory compliance throughout the pharmacy


Qualifications:

  • Current and active pharmacist license in Ohio

  • Prior experience in a retail or compounding pharmacy, especially high-volume environments

  • Comfortable leading support staff and maintaining operational oversight

  • Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations related to medication safety and inventory control
