IV Pharmacy Technician Job Description
An IV pharmacy tech has additional, essential duties beyond a traditional pharmacy technician. Besides filling, labeling, and monitoring prescriptions for customers, you have IV-specific tasks. These responsibilities include dispensing additives for IV solutions, mixing IV additive products, and adhering to aseptic techniques. You also will be responsible for organizing data and appropriately labeling and filing documents. Customer service is a primary component of your day-to-day routine.
IV Pharmacy Technician Requirements
To obtain your pharmacy technician IV certification, you first need a high school diploma or GED. You also need to be licensed by the state in which you work. Many employers prefer direct experience in a pharmacy setting, as well. To receive the IV certification, you can attend training through the National Pharmacy Training Association (NPTA) or other post-secondary options. You should have strong interpersonal skills, good organizational abilities, and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Pharmacist Sterile RX Verification (Contract) St. Louis, MO
RPh on the Go is actively hiring a Pharmacist to verify sterile prescriptions in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a full-time, 13+ week contract opportunity with the potential to become temp-to-perm. The pharmacist will work day shift hours and must have recent sterile compounding experience.
Position details:
Location: St. Louis, MO
Setting: 13+ week contract, potential temp-to-perm
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm (Day Shift)
Key Responsibilities:
Verify sterile prescriptions accurately and in compliance with regulations
Work in a compounding pharmacy or sterile compounding environment
Requirements:
Active MO State Pharmacist License in good standing (no negative history)
2+ years of experience verifying sterile prescriptions
2+ years of experience in a compounding pharmacy or sterile compounding setting
