You also will be responsible for organizing data and appropriately labeling and filing documents. Customer service is a primary component of your day-to-day routine.
IV Pharmacy Technician Requirements
To obtain your pharmacy technician IV certification, you first need a high school diploma or GED. You also need to be licensed by the state in which you work. Many employers prefer direct experience in a pharmacy setting, as well. To receive the IV certification, you can attend training through the National Pharmacy Training Association (NPTA) or other post-secondary options. You should have strong interpersonal skills, good organizational abilities, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
IV Pharmacy Technician Salary and Job Outlook
IV certified pharmacy technicians receive a significant bump in salary over traditional pharmacy techs - certification is a beneficial investment.
